Sailing the Mighty Mekong
Today was the ultimate "laid back" day - a chance to catch our breath after a fast paced, action packed first week of the trip. The ship departed at 7:30 am from Phnom Penh and we sailed the rest of the day with nothing but a few presentations in the lounge to break up the day, other than eating! Last night after I had posted photos, it was "Cambodia Night" in the restaurant as the staff were in their native dress costumes and the food was all local. Was an interesting evening and a good chance for us to get a photo op with "our Kim" (remember she's the one who greeted us when we boarded and she & my Kim posed for a pic?) who greets us every day at every meal with a big smile and a hug for the ladies.
I thought today would be a good day to give a quick photo-tour of the ship since there aren't any real stories to tell. This evening we arrive in Tân Châu where we will have one excursion tomorrow morning and then we'll have another nearly full day of sailing! Love the sailing days :)
Yesterday was one of the bigger days of the Fall Racing season as it was Pennsylvania Derby Day at Parx Race Course in Philadelphia. While I didn't hit the usual amount of winners, I did have two stakes wins on the card, including the big one when Baeza won the Grade 1 Pa Derby.
